Presentation

The Saphira project aim at developing a 3D realtime RPG game engine and a game on the top of it. Although they are two distinct projects, they are inseparable.

The game’s plot takes place in a distant future where humans no longer live on Earth and Earth’s history is no longer history but myth. Tellara, the only inhabited planet is not at peace; power, slavery, betrayal and murder are the rules of the land.

The saphira game engine is a 3D realtime game engine. It is currently under heavy developpement and no release is planned yet although we have some good screenshots. Our motivation is to make a free Open Source game engine and to thrill at each bugs and also each new feature we implement. We are currently focusing on the development of a map editor. It's released under GPLv3.

Informations (especially about the game itself) can be found on our wiki. You may discuss about this project on our forum. And of course, we spend a lot of time on IRC channel #saphira on DALnet. Feel free to join us either on our forum or on IRC and to ask questions.
